ummm i always thought that the 3kGT and the 3g had the same v6 engine,if so,why dont people just swap heads (from SOHC to DOHC) and THEN twin turbo instead of dropping a vr4 engine in. Im not criticizing or anything, just asking.thanks

The engines are different. Look at the engine codes. Both the block's, and heads are different. The GT has a new type of engine (for mitsubishi anyways).

the bolt pattern for the 3kgt head is different from the bolt pattern from the 3g, therefore they are incompatible...i remember hearing the question somewhere else and taht is the answer

...i'm not entirely sure, i believe that the head on the 3kgt has 3 bolts holding each head on and the head on the 3g has 5 bolts holding it on, however that could be flip flopped but eitre way the patterns dont' match and won't work...
now that i think about it ... yeah kinda like that
