ok so the year is comming to a end quickly,
so i was just curious how did evey one do one their yearly goal for their car?
meaning did you guys accomplish what you set out to do to your car for this year?
i myself exceeded that goal, i was just planing to get the probe up and running and do the intake/exhaust/ mbc@12psi, i got way past that, i wasnt expecting the probe to become this quick in this period of time. so im happy with my progress during this year
im such a :loser: ..
next year goals:
get a faster car! 13sec car by the end of next yr. thats my goal. i hope i can get there and excede it by next yr. end.

300 whp, 321 wtq @ 8 psi. Should put down 400 whp on 15-17 psi and some higher octane gas. Guess we'll find out after the new year. :smokin:

To my understanding the T-bird has an engine very similar to the SN95 series of Mustangs, is that true? If so thats about 215 hp. a 99+GT is 260. If so you should be almost there, Im willing to bet if you got some higher end gears (not sure whats avail. for T-bird) you should have your goal....
as for beyond's car, that is amazing originality. That car is awesome, and I too would love to see times.

I literally just got the car back Friday from MI, from being dyno tuned. We discovered a small oil leak on the rear valve cover, so my tuning was cut short and i wasnt able to raise the boost to ~ 15 pounds. Truthfully, these cars are not meant for the drag strip. Its pretty sad when the fastest svt contour is naturally aspirated running a 13.4 @ 102 and the fastest forced induction svt contour runs a 13.5 @ 111. Traction is really an issue with these cars. Hopefully, once i get my electronic boost controller worked out, ill be running 12s, although if it were rwd, i would easily be in the 11s with 400 whp. The weather sucks right now, but it definetely hauls balls. First and second gear are useless. It just spins the tires. :iceslolan

Well, I'll tell you, I never met my goals for this year. Lousy year for me. But I'll tell you my next years goals:
1. Beat My dad's 3kgt.
2. Drop in new motor
3. Sell my Civic
4. Buy a Trans Am
5. Beat my Dad again
6. Make it through my probation period without getting a ticket
7. Make a pact with 4 of my buddies to get laid by the end of summer :grinno:
Well, doubt any of that will happen, but who knows? It's a fresh year coming up. I can't wait for it to begin. Late...

i like that last part about making pact about gettin laid. its reminds me of american pie for some reason.
anyways my goal at the end of this year is looking grim. non of my parts arrived yet, and i'm going broke. so if you say late january then its possible. but by the end of this year, its not looking so good.
begining of year goal is to run 13 psi and making around 280whp.
end of next year goal is making 400whp.

ok so the year is comming to a end quickly,
so i was just curious how did evey one do one their yearly goal for their car?
meaning did you guys accomplish what you set out to do to your car for this year?
I plan to do so on the 18th in Sac. I just did a few mods and dynoed 347whp with the new combo which is the record for any M90'd GTP in the Nation on stock heads.
http://www.zzpftp.com/jj347.jpg
To do this record justice I need to get a kick ass track time.
Mods added:
-Switched to the ZZP XP Cam
-rebuilt tranny with Torque converter, drilled flexplate, hardened input shaft, single chain gear setup.
-ZZP Stage2 IC
-Larger MAFF
-Better Fuel Rails
-Machined the SC snout to fit a 2.55" pulley
-Suspension limiter kit(to help with launching)
I plan on getting mid-low 12s, hopefully a 110+ trap and if I can get a 1.7 maybe 11.9s will be possible with some more weight reduction(front seat&catback)

That is an absolutely beautiful pic!
Turns out for me now that I have a co op job between semesters I can afford to buy out my Rsx after the lease! go me! and I will also have a bit of money to spend on my car...
1) Intake, filter, headers, sway bar
2) ECU upgrade
these are pertty steep considering I have to pay my tuition, pay for my car, and pay for insurance on my co op money and summer job money from before...I hope I can get this done and be able to do some serious mods when I graduate

Goal for 2004
1. Strip, fix and paint the Stang
2. Get the short block of my new 351W stroker done.
3. Get the truck running.
4. Fix the tilt control on my boat.
5. Finihs mocking up twin turbo manifolds for the 351W stroker
Since I didn't finish accomplishing any of these it was a bad year. But since I'm more than 50% done on all 2005 will be my year!!!!!! or so I hope....

I half way did my goal..
if you remember, i purchased a wrecked J30t and was restoring it. along the way i raced it and won a few great races, and just yesturday i finished the two doors, the bumper, the fender, and the hood. All i have left now is the rear quater panel (which i'm still trying to figure out how to remove) but my main goal was completed. i wanted to have my car be one color again. I did a little half ass collage to celebrate my accomplishment. http://www.majinarmy.com/collageofj30.jpg
next year? i will get the rear quater panel done!!!
Btw, all the pictures besides the top right were of the progress... the wrecked ,to the mis colored parts, to the completed front end.

I want to have the sr20det from either a bluebird(t25) or hopefully get the GTI-R motor(t28 might be a ball bearing turbo), and have it in before summer. Plans for a FMIC instead of the topmount. It should be a blast once it's done. I heard however that people ruin the b13 transmission, and the the b15 tranny is the way to go.

Well, some I did and some I didn't. My main goal was just getting the car. I had to fly to Ohio to look at the car and then drive it back here to Utah. Once I got it back my main goals were:
1. Get rid of all the yellow dress up items under the hood. √
2. Get rid of crappy pin stripes, mud flaps, and steering wheel wrap. √
3. Remove stickers from the side windows and a windshield banner. √
4. Change front brakes. √
5. Track down a pesky vacuum leak.
6. Change out the interior from tan to gray.
7. Up the boost to 14 PSI with a Grainger valve.
I haven't been able to find that damn leak yet but I do have a lot of the parts for the interior. I got the Grainger valve but I don't think I will get around to putting it in until next year. All in all the project is moving along slower than I would like, but I just don't have the money to move along as fast as I want. Not to mention how hard certain parts are to find for this car.

To my understanding the T-bird has an engine very similar to the SN95 series of Mustangs, is that true? If so thats about 215 hp. a 99+GT is 260. If so you should be almost there, Im willing to bet if you got some higher end gears (not sure whats avail. for T-bird) you should have your goal....
the 4.6 in the T-Bird came with 205 HP Stock, and 285 TQ. The driveline in the T-Bird isnt as good as the SN95, and with the stock chip, they top out at 106. (govener). With my new chip, and my stock 3:08's, I might be able to walk a 99+GT in the top end.
Anyway you look at it, its hefty 4000 lb weight really slows it.
I already got plans for 05. Get a 94/95 SuperCoupe 5-Speed, sell the 4.6 (I got Now), and mod the hell out of the S/C
Either that or get an AED Blower, with PI H/C/I setup, for the 4.6

My goal. I'd like to get a new chip for the volvo. New exhaust, and i'm not quite sure from there. Basically, by the end of the year i'd like to be faster than my friends 2000 911.
