frustrating problem

alright, everytime i hammer it while in like 1st or 2nd, it runs great and pulls strong, but the moment i slow down or stop, the engine cuts off and i'm forced to roll it off to the side of the road and when i start it up agian, it feels and sounds like it's running on like 3 pistons, ticks very loudly, smokes a bit, and flat out runs like shit. But, if i let it sit for about 8-10 minutes, or drive it real slow for like a min. it will run smooth and fine again like nothing ever happened. This only happens when i hammer it to like full boost, so someone PLEASE HELP. It sucks having this problem becuse if i race someone, my car dies and runs like shit for 10 mintues....and it's really embarrsing if i win too....but anyway, anyone know whats up? i thought it was the injectors at first so i poured a can of injector cleaner in, i dunno if it's kicked in yet. a couple things wrong with my car that i haven't gotten around to fixing yet that might help troubleshoot are
-I think my rear precat is clogged (only precat left)
-Negitive Battery termnal is beat up and probobly does not have 100% contact
-Exuast leak at the end of the downpipe at the flange

this is what it sounds like to me...

you floor it, giving the engine a rush of fuel then for some reason after you get done, you have too much fuel in the engine causing it to bog down/flood itself. after 10 minutes of "idling" it finally works that excess fuel off. now, what causes it??? thats another story. could be a relay or sensor in the fuel system fooling the computer into thinking its not getting enough fuel when really it is getting a ton. MAF sensor could be faulty and its telling the ECU that its always getting a crap load of air...so the ECU tells the fuel system to send a crap load of fuel. good luck....next time, try doing this. floor it then let it die, then start it and keep the RPM's up and see if it comes out of it faster...

but maybe im off, and it isnt getting too much fuel at all.
