'92 S-10 Quit, No Start, Blows ECM Fuse

4-Cyl, 5-spd. Co-worker was on hwy coming to work and his S-10 just suddenly quit. (Of course, when it's 25 degrees outside!).
Cranks fine, no start. Getting spark, a splash of fuel in the TB will fire it up for a couple seconds. Checked fusebox, 15A ECM fuse was blown. We borrowed a 20 A from turn signals, and it blew immediately. Does this fuse power anything else, or just the ECM? Wondering if it's a blown ECM or a short to ground? Anyone experienced this one, and solved it? Any & all ideas & suggestions will be appreciated, thanks a bunch.
-Jim.

Have seen this problem where the TBI wires wear through the body and short out.

He needs to check the wiring.

Also, NEVER put a higher amp fuse in place of a lower.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys.
Will let you know what the cause is, when it is located.
Thought I'd seen somewhere that some wiring (maybe for the F. Pump) runs under the drivers side carpet, and can wear through the insulation & short to floorboard? Anyway, all your help is truly appreciated! -Jim.
(PS: Blazer LT, I agree with you, it was a temporary swap only because no 15A fuse was available). Thanks.

Ah, ok, just don't want you to burn.

Problem solved!! Wire was touching the exhaust manifold, back where you couldn't see it. Insulation melted through. Thanks guys, for all your help!!
