engine problem

i was wondering if someone might be able to help me with a problem. when i start my 97 elantra up it runs great till it get warmed up. then it starts to skip when it is ideling. it will skip when i take off up till when i reach about 10-15 mph. after that it will run great. the engine light came on and i had that checked out and it said a mis-fire on cylinder 1. i have changed the plugs in it. i was thinking maybe the plug wires were bad but wouldnt it skip all the time if they were ?

Hi,I had the same problem with my 2000 elantra,twice.I had to replace the sparkplug wires.
