Hi,
Hoping someone can help me narrow down an issue I've recently developed in my 93 Probe. Last week I started to drive and it just sort of died off with the fuel cutoff light coming on. I tried to start it for a while, & it seemed to turn over and start for a few seconds, then shudder and die. I waited a little while, and it started right up and drove fine until I turned it off. Then the same issue. I don't think it's the fuel pump because it gets plenty of gas once it gets going. Could this just be a clogged fuel filter? Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated!

check the filter. and the fuel sending unit. it sounds like a sensor could be bad.

My 93 GT did the same thing so I changed the fuel pump, was not the problem. I had a bad coil in my distributor which made it an intermittant problem. Bought a whole new distributor for about $150 and it runs like a brand new car now. May want to check both parts.

Thank you all for you suggestions. After much tinkering, I found the leads inside the inertia switch completely severed from the switch it's self. I'm really surprised that it started up again after letting it sit the first time. I capped the three wires together, and it starts every time. I'd like to solder the wires back to the switch, but I'm not sure which leads the wires go to, or if it makes any difference.
Thanks again for the assistance!
