Do any of you guys have pictures of your blacked out headlights. Preferably pics with a blue acura rsx. looking to DIY this so any tips would be cool. Does the cold affect the painting?

Take your headlight housing off the car and take the bulb out, then preheat your oven to 250º and stick the housing in there for 10 minutes. The silicone will be like bubblegum and you can easily pry it apart with a flathead screwdriver. Take some screws out so all you have is the chrome. Spray it with light coats of primer, then paint it with flat black. Light coats are the key.. for the first 2-3 coats you should still be able to see through the coat. After you're done, put everything together and reseal the housing, making sure you scraped off all the old silicone. Use clear silicone to reseal, then once the housing is stuck back together run another little bead on the outside of the seal so you won't have condensation. Viola.

use photoshop. I do that before EVERY mod I do to make sure how it will look. Take pictures of your car... select the headlight area you want blackend, go to brightness and contrass... darken it a tad and there you go.
