Finally finished one, this is the Tamiya 1/20 scale Renault RE30B Formula 1 car. My camera does not seem to like taking pictures of yellow (goes a bit grainy or blurry) Added Studio 27 belts to the cockpit and scratchbuilt the rear springs. Painted with Finisher's Canary yellow and white and clearcoated with Finisher's autoclear. Stripped all the chrome and resprayed with Alclad II stainless steel. Hope you all like it.

Mike.

Excellent build...

for the camera issue: Adjust the white balance to your light source. increase you ISO setting if needed (200 for well lit, 400 for less than well lit any higher will ake the picture look grainy) Make sure you light the model up pretty good from 2 directions.

Good build of one of the few cars that ever worried the 312T series of Ferraris.

The 312T series was only worrying it's drivers well before Prost moved to Renault.

Referencing Lauda or Scheckter, RR? :p

Definitely Jody! His last year at Ferrari was not a happy one, even the mighty Gilles Villeneuve could do nothing with the 312T5. Must have been the worst ever defence of a World Championship. Even Hill in the '97 Arrows scored more points with the number 1. Although Ferrari did come good pretty quick once the turbo 126C rolled out.

Okay, okay, you got me with the T5. Double punch of ugly and slow. lol

But that's what happens when you're at the end of the line and the company resources are already tied up at developing The Next Big Thing: the aforementioned 126C series.

It'll probably happen at Ferrari soon enough once Rory Byrne runs out of ideas for the 2000 series of cars. Can only evolve so far before you go extinct.

I think Rory Byrne is already withdrawing from major responsibility for penning Ferraris latest car. Hopefully Schumi will still be around when the Ferrari turns back into a dog again!

Schumi or someone comparable. I don't ever want another period of time where all we tifosi have to say is "Yeah, but if Alesi's engine hadn't gone...."

1982 through 1998, haven't we tifosi suffered enough?

RallyRaider

The true Tiffosi are still sufferin'

Yeah, permanent hangovers and we can't quite seem to get the German national anthem out of our heads. lol

By the way, is it normal for every rubber device in your house to wear a Bridgestone sticker?

I wasn't aware Brigestone made those kind of 'rubber devices'.

Hi,

what I can see on the photos doesn´t look bad, however the details you mentioned in your first thread cannot be seen.

Can you add some (better) detail photos?

Micha
