upper intake back-fire

Hello everyone, this is new for me so please be patient. My F-250 1989 has started to give me problems back-firing when I shift to drive, accelerates but then loses power and start the back-fire, does not go to the exhaust, only at the upper intake manifold. Help anyone please.
