Engine & Transmision

IM looking to get a new engine and transmission for my 1989 jeep anyone know about how much that would cost? I dont want to do rebuild Im not that knowlagabel in mechanics and I dont want a new car I love my jeep.

Check with pepboys,jasper engines, they both sell crate motors and transmissions. I am sure new they will be pretty $$$

Has to be cheaper than a brand new car and other than that I dont want anything else Iv already got all the quirks down on this jeep and I know how to mantain it myself so I wanna stick with it ya know.

Well, checking Jasper, a new engine/tranny combo runs over $4,000 US. You may try finding a salvage yard somewhere.
