installing radio + rf modulator/1998 jetta

Hi,

I have a 1998 Jetta GLS (produced 9/97, if that helps at all), and I am trying to install a JVC 12 disc CD changer. I have a few questions, if anybody could help me out:

1. Is it possible to install this unit in my Jetta w/o encountering serious problems? If so, how difficult is the installation?

2. If you think that a non-professional can install this CD changer (I watched someone put the unit in my Jeep, and I was able to remove it from my Jeep w/o any problems today), how do I go about removing the radio and making the connections between the RF modulator and the wires that lead into the radio?

3. Is there any possible way to install the RF modulator w/o losing power to the radio? After seeing all the postings in this forum, I really don't want to have to deal with the radio code business (I've had the car 6 years--no way do I still have the code!)?

Anyway, please respond here if you can, or, you can send me an email if you like ([email protected]).

Thanks so much for your help--I really need it!
