Stall speed is the engine RPM at which the torque converter transfers the power of the engine to the transmission. The higher the stall speed, the higher the engine RPM's will be to launch your car from a stop. This allows you to bring the engine RPM's up into the power band of the engine. Contact companies like B&M or TCI to determine what you need. A higher stall speed converter also builds up more heat so a trans cooler is recommended.
