Door Hinge Pin Help

I have new hinge pins and bronze bearings for my front doors...
What is the best way for changing these,,, Do I remove the door???

get yourself some blocking, open the door all the way, set the door on the blocks, carefully drive the pins out, and slide the door away from the body just enough to get the bushings out. The door should balance on the blocking, and the front fender. replace the bushings, slide the door into place, install the pins and pin locks, lube with some silicone spray, and drive away happy.

This entire gong show takes about 45 minutes to do both sides, if you are in a hurry. Just did a 97 1 ton yesterday.

My original door pins on 89 suburban had a compressed flange on it that needed to be ground off. Beating it out with a big hammer did not work. Ended up taking a sabre saw and cutting the middle of it.

I would recomend a graphite lubricant instead of silicone.
