Ford Escort 95 fan problem

I have overheated the engine once because my fan did not come on. I look at wirering and found that fan relay was bad. I fixed it. Fan works only if AC is on now.
If AC is off, fan never comes on even if a teperature gauge showes the highest temperature possible.

I would apreaciate better wirering diagram and i will check everything in the circuit or just tell me what to check...

hmm... I also have a problem with the fan in my '95... if I pull the relay for the AC the fan will come on... as soon as I replace it... the fan quits.... a mystery to me>?????
