Hi i have a friend that wants to get a set of Rims for his 05 rsx base. I told him to get 17 in because i think 18 will get marks easily. we live in NJ. The road here is not as good as it is in suburban areas. and that 17in aftermarket rim could be lighter than his stock rims, therefore less unsprung weight and better performance and HOTTER. But we want bigger rims that won't make anymore road noise as the stock one is already doing. will light rims make more noise????? will bigger rim make more noise????? since the big rims has more foot print on the road. I know it can be fixed with a good set of tires...what kind of tires? does the Rating on the tires affect of the noise? we have to get low profile tires, we dunt want to mess arround with the rolling raduis. for sure if we get a bigger rim we can have better handle and feel of the road. but away from all that...COMFORT.....its a dialy driven car. we're looking at 1000 - 1500 for a set of rims.

Keep the 16s and get a set of Pirelli Summer Tires.
Very grippy and very quiet, except when they chirp when you're burning rubber. :grinyes:

Get Pink Wheels.
In Japan, Pink is a symbol of power and potency.

If you're gonna vote, why not post.......

And 17s will be cheaper, harder to damage, lighter, and the ires would be less noisy due to the tires being narrower vs. same model rims and tires but 18.

I've got gunmetals (stock) on my RSX, I think it looks best.

Oh I rule. Its gunmetal winning by a landslide.

I guess you like that silver look? HEHE. :grinno: I've got the stocks on there too, but I really like the new '05 TypeS rims. They look a lot sweeter than the ones we have! :crying: So 17's would be best. Plus they don't weigh as much as 18's unless you pay through the nose for lightweight rims!

Actually my stockers are gunmetal, because CDN 2002-2004 RSX-S's get gunmetal rims. Not silver, as you can clearly see in my sig. or maybe you can't, maybe you're colour blind, which might explain your choosing silver for your RSX :p

And yeah, the 05 rims are nice, and when dropped, the 05 looks really nice.

Why are the Canadians getting all the good stuff. National health coverage, Celine Dion, heated seats, gunmetal stocks...WTF?!

Sorry, I guess "gunmetal" is another shade of silver. I be silver colorblind since I can't distinguish between shades of silver! :grinyes:

Man, those Canadians can't seem to conform with the rest of the world. They always have to have something different so that they can feel that they're better than those crazy Americans! :iceslolan :grinno:

I feel putting gold rims on any car especially a blue one is just trying to copy the image of the Subaru Impreza WRX STI(and whatever else goes on the end) gun metal all the way

I would have thought so too until I came across this pic. I really like the looks of these rims.

Yeah, sometimes they looks relaly good, mainly on red, white and black, and sometimes silver, blue doesn't always work, however.

Yes, you have a point. They look pretty good on black; like chrome rims which I don't particularly care for (especially the ones that start peeling right away). I am reminded of something.....was it BBS 10, 20 years ago that had those nice gold rims?
