Exhaust Modification

I recently purchased a 2004 Performance 350Z 6spd. I was wondering if anyone has removed the resonator from their stock exhaust system. Ususlly this makes most cars raspy sounding. I am looking to make mine a little louder than stock without making it sound like a ricer.

Also if you know any other cheap mods. I would like to know them.

Thanks..

yes it should make it a little louder but not raspy.

A few have done it and have complained it does become rather raspy, the same that happens with installing test pipes without resonators.

ahhh...sorry for the mis-info. i was just going off of past experiences and none of them have been with a 350z. so yeah...on most cars the resonators do not make a huge difference.

westpak...i like the new sig pic...looking good. :D

Yeah, the 350Z doesn't have the same properties as the 300ZX does to get louder and deeper for some reason, I love the exhaust note on the 300ZX NA and TT with aftermarket exhausts.

Has anyone used the "Off road" pipes that replace the cats? How much louder did the car get? I would like to keep the factory looking exhaust..
