parking brake light comes on

sometimes the red "BRAKE" light comes on while I am cornering, begin to accelerate, or as I am coming to a stop. So its obviously got something to do with the inertia. whether I corner left or right, it still happens. I felt the little spring button censor for the park brake, and its not loose, it doesnt jiggle or anything. I was wondering if anybody had any ideas. Mind you its not the "brake lights" that come on.. its the parking brake dummy light in the dash. The light has always been a little defective, because the only time it ever used to come on was as I was releasing the parking brake and it was almost all the way back up. Since it didnt always work, Ive driven a number of times with the brake on... oops. But its been a very very long time since Ive done that, so whatever it is now is a new problem. anyways, yea, thats the problem. thanks.... Rick

I dont know. I'll check that.

yea, it's a "check engine" light for the brake system. you're most likely just low on brake fluid.
