Altima, 1994. Runs well. Today it started at 10:00 am; moved it from driveway into the street to park. 2:30 pm -- refuses to start. Engine turns over, it sounds like it is going to start, but it doesn't. Everything is checked out: battery OK, fuel line delivery, OK, fuel line pressure, OK, spark OK, fuses OK. It sounds as if it is just out of gas, but that is not the case. The fuel pump makes some sound when key is first turned. Any ideas?
Thank you so much.

We've got the same problem with a 94 GLE, 100k mi on it, in Chgo area on 12/11. It's been sitting outside and seen very little use, pushed it into a warm-ish garage, in case there was frozen water in gas tank/lines (my first thought). Also ran trickle charge on battery. Sat overnight - still no go. Engine turns fine, but I can't smell any fuel fumes.
Should also note gas tank was very, very low (my teen's car), but it ran just fine very recently.
Anyone with any ideas? I did see on another forum a guy with a '94 Maxima who was having running/fuel problems when he let his tank get very low.
Anyone also know if replacing fuel pump, filter, or fuel relay is a job that is accessible on this car for D-I-Y'ers?

I would remove the air duct and try to start it then. If you get no response spry some starter fluid in there lightly. You should get a start. If this works then you need to check your fuel deluvey lines for a clog or a bad sender unit.

Greatly appreciate you taking the time to reply. You read my mind - I did as you recommended, and ran a full check all along the fuel route, including fuses, relay switch, etc. Nothing - so guess I will be replacing the fuel pump. Nasty job, taking out both parts of back seat. Was hoping for something less (and cheaper) like a fuse or a relay.
Anyway - thanks again for your help!
