hello. i have a '99 chevy s-10 pickup. for about the last month, everytime I try to start the truck up, it wont go on, then i try again & it starts up. why is it doing this? does it have anything to do with the starter? and how can i fix it?

thanks in advance

we really need more info, does the starter spin?
if not do you hear a click?
is it the motor that won't start.

the more info that you can give us the better

Let me know what you find out. I have the same problem with my 96 S10 4.3 V6. The starter cranks and the engine turns over on the first try but wont start. It will start right up on the second try. The only time I have noticed it to start on 1st try is when it is cold. I do have an error code P0175 too rich bank 2.

it sounds like it is taking time for your fuel pressure to build up. replace your fuel filter. if the problem still occurs your fuel pump may be failing or a fuel system component may be leaking.

Let's start from scratch, have you done a tuneup lately?
