Hey-

I am trying to directly connect my iPod to my stereo without using my tape deck or fm transmitter or buying Alpine equipment. I have read that all you need are some jacks and an aux. input, which has been said is the same as a cd changer input. however, my blazer, 2001, has the following:
AM/FM, Single Cd, and a tape deck. the original owner of this car got a remote tape deck though, it is not on the dash. instead, it is on the floor beneath the dashboard and in between the driver and passenger floormats. on the stereo deck(head, control panel, whatever you want to call it) i have 4 selections to choose from: 1) am, 2)fm 3)cd, 4)aux. Aux is for when i want to listen to my tape deck. I am wondering if anyone knows if it is possible for me to disconnect my tape deck from my stereo and connect the iPod using rca jacks. i have tried both the cassette adapter and fm transmitter with my iPod and i am not completely thrilled with their sound quality. PLEASE let me know if u have any idea if it is possible for me to do this. thank you

You could, you just have to figure out which is the right and left signal coming from the tape unit.
