I tried a search but came up empty. Anyway, I know when using liquid cement you need to remove any paint before application of the glue and bonding of the parts. The other day I tried using this super glue gel in a tube,(sorry,I cant think of thebrand at the moment) I just applied the glue right over the paint and it worked great. Strong bond and it didnt eat the paint. Just curious if anyone else uses this CA in gel form?

the problem with that is... the bond is only as strong as the paint. if paint cracks the piece will fall off. only use CA plastic to plastic. but i do use it alot.

I pretty much thought it was too good to be true, thanks for the reply.

I think I use super glue more than I use regular cement, you just have to know what you're doing.
Keep it away from chrome parts and clear parts, it will fog both.

I noticed Amato's in your signature, cool place! although the one in Middletown doesn't have too many Tamiya car kits as far as I know.... Anyway, I think the brand of the gel glue might be Loctite? I have some and agree that it is easier to use than the normal liquid CA.

I have fallen in love with the superglue that has a brush applicator. That stuff ROCKS and it never glues itself shut!
