2004 Cracking sounds from dash

I'm new to this forum, but hopefully I can find some good answers to a problem that has been plaguing me for weeks.

We bought our Odyssey in February 04. Pleased with it, but a few weeks we developed a "thunking" sound from the right side. We took it to no less than 5 different dealers and they couldn't find what was wrong. Worse, they didn't hear the same noise we did (it was very intermintent).

Finally I got a dealer to agree to totally take apart the suspension and sure enough, we had a bad passenger side strut assembly. They said they had problems in the past with rubbing, but this one didn't have enough pressure on it.

Since then the sound has gone away but now we're getting cracking sounds from the dash, kind of like rice crispies in milk! It does it only over bumps, and it's really more a "CRACK/POP" than a squeak or rattle. I can't tell if it's from the front of the dash, or back towards the windshield.

I looked up under the dash and couldn't see how it was attached but didn't see much, or maybe I did and it looked too simple.

I've tried spraying silicon spray around the front dash area, where the plastic meets together, but no luck. I've tried pushing my hand on the dash in one area, but that causes the "crack/pop" to go somewhere else.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Dude my 02 does the same. It has only happened recently with the cold weather weve been having. Mines more like a cricket chirp. Same symptoms though. Im an auto electrician and am borderline breaking this whole thing down to figure it out.

The more I think about it, it is more of a snap,pop thing. OOoh it gets be worked thinking of that noise. It definitely is close to the windshield where it eminates from.
