I honestly don't think the Saleen is worth the money. With the money you save from buying a 2004 Cobra appose the Saleen you can easily make it unbelievably fast and still have change in your pocket. It's a difference of $26,120! When buying a Saleen your buying performance but your also buying the name and rarity. It's more of a collectors item then a track/everyday driver in my opinion. You can buy your Saleen but after I throw just a fraction of the $26,120 into my Cobra you'll eating my dust. :biggrin:

C&D has the 03 Cobra at 12.9/112 and the new LS2 Vette at 12.7. don't know about the older Z06's.

The 1st two I got from http://www.saleen.com/s281_e_performance.htm and the 2004 Cobra I made a mistake.

I know I'm not that good and I ran a 12.6 at 114 in my 03 with nothing but a FRPP catback and a drop in K+N on sumitomo's. I'd rather have the 20K I saved and still run down a Saleen.

is the cobra modded? cuz if its stock for stock, its known that the vette is faster, but by how much i dont kno. perhaps thats shown in the video.

Im pretty sure that cobra was stock. The vette walked but it didn't walk very quickly. 390hp vs 405hp I think we were looking at that extra 15 horses. A properly modded Cobra (500HP) would have quickly left that vette.

In the first 5 seconds of the video they said the Cobra was tuned to 478 RWHP and 501 RWTQ and listed a few of the cars mods. The only mod on the Vette was a cold air intake (they both had racing tires). All in all, good video. Seems to me a Cobra tuned to produce those kind of numbers should have walked away from a basically stock Z06. It also said at the end that the ZO6 missed a gear.. but I highly doubt that. Maybe it was driver error on the Cobra's part. Either way, good video.
