Lighted Switches

I am trying to install some neons under da dash wit a lighted switch but
when i connected it the neons w/ the switch they hardly turn on and da switch is dimmed.Da swicth has three connections and i have it set up like this 12volt supply = Positive(Red Cable) Acc=(not connect) GRound Negative(Black Cable)

you need to plug the ACC wire into something that comes on and off with the rest of the car when you turn the key ON. Thatll fix it.
