89 integra headlight mod

i trolled thru and saw something about modding the flipper lights on the G1 teg to something stationary, but didn't see anything about how to do it. can it be done? and if so, what all is needed.
i was thinking about just getting 2 of the small rectangular sealed lamps to pop in there and molding the assemblies to the body in someway, anyone think that could work, or am i just crazy??
