Hey everyone, I have a 1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88 with a 307 in it. Recently I made the mistake of taking it to a repair shop to have the heater fan replaced (i know its easy, but i had zero time) and the people there broke my Hood opening Cable, and they refuse to replace it and i dont have time for lawsuits. My oil is 800 KM OVER the change time, and I HATE running the engine that way. Is there anyway I can manually trip the hood on the latch somehow, to get it to open, at least so I can change my Oil and rig some temporary thing up until I have money to fix it. I tried putting the car on stands and looking for the cable, it runs above the fender wells so you cannot access it from underneath. Took the kick panel off inside the car, but there isn't enough room to grab the cable with pliers. Can I trip the latch somehow or something? Thanks!
