Hi people,
have read an old thread aboud CA31 parts compatibility, that was interesting. Looks like there's the best place in net to ask my questions. I have the same old problem choosing the springs for my CA31 Cefiro. The reason is that my rear springs are dead, I'm not looking for a hardcore racing upgrade :), just for the regular parts.
So, people claimed that parts from 200SX and CA31 are compatible. Some people reports that 200SX shock absorbers are a bit lower and springs are softer. I've got some concrete quiestions about the difference between 200SX and CA31 _rear_ springs.
1a. CA31 will look lower when you install 200SX springs. Talking about rear suspension: lower by which amount of in/cm/whatever?
1b. Or, how may cm there was between highest point of the rear wheel and fender after 200SX springs installation? Could you remember it (approximation would work too)? Is there any visible vertical space between wheel and fender?
2. What is the spring rate for the standard CA31 and 200SX springs?
3. What is the height in cm/inches of uninstalled CA31 and 200SX springs? Or, how longer is the uninstalled CA31 spring than 200SX(S13) one?
General question. Which set of non-original absorbers and springs would you recommend to buy given the following requirements:
1) Car shouldn't be lower than standard.
2) The set shouldn't be more expensive that new standard one.
3) International delivery is a requirement (I live in Russia).
Btw, I read somewhere about the compatibility problems with some springs and Kayaba struts. Would you comment on that? Is it true?
Thanks in advance,
Vlad.

I ordered shocks from http://www.sapmotorparts.com/, no hassle intl order. Good grandpa quality.
I used sentra shocks in my maxima, half price. Theyre longer, go more down. Needed to add one shim.
Spring decides the height.
Nissan has a lot of interchangeable parts, different market segment, different price plus/minus one shim or notch... Get maximum profits from steelpipes.
Maxima change here with dealer would take 1500$, now did the whole job all four with under 300$.
