On my 2000 SES , the driver side windshield washer nosel sprays barely to the bottom of the windshield...and the passenger side sprays about 1/4 the way from the bottom....Has anyone had experance with this problem....Is the pump shot?....is the hose stopped up or do the nosels get stopped up enough to cause this problem.?...Any Fixes ?

hughw;

Sometimes they do get clogged up, take a paper clip to the holes.
Also I believe it is a small metal tube (Where the fluid comes out) being careful you can bend it up to spray more of your windshield.

Hope this helps...Robert

Your windshield pump is probably clogged with dirt or old windshield washer fluid. The pump is located at the bottom of the tank and once you remove the tank it's real easy to clean all the hoses and pump at the same time. To remove the tank you need to jack up the passenger side front wheel which will give you access to the tank. Remove plastic cover protecting the wheel well. Remove the screws holding the tank in place. The tank should drop out. Clean the tank, pump, blow out the lines and you should be in good shape. Takes a couple of hours.

Good luck and maybe a Chilton book would help.

I have seen this problem on a '97 Taurus. Check your washer fluid hose under the hood. Mine was dryrotted and had a hole in it. Have someone activate the washers while you look under the hood and I'll bet you find it! Good Luck!
