I have an 87 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 6 cy. 4.0 I've been having problems w/ it starting. I replaced the battery and all battery cables, the ignition switch and I have replaced the starter solenoid before so I don't think that's the problem. I just got the starter tested and it was bad, so I replaced that and it started just fine. I ran it for about 5 min and then I turned it off. I tried to start it back and all I get is the noise you hear when you turn the key too much. Kind of like a screech. NEED HELP. Need help. Any suggestions?

"turn the key too much"? I'm not sure I understand what you mean by this.
If the starter is turning but not engaging then the bendix may not be sliding freely. You can try removing the starter and see if you can slide the bendix It's pushed back by a fairly weak spring so you should be able to slide it.
