fuel pressure check questions.94 4.3

Hi I bought a pressure check guage and I have a couple of questions about the results.I checked the pressure at the shrader port and the pressure was 58 and it held steady at this while running and off.I revved the engine alittle and the pressure dropped at least 10 psi this may be normal I dont know,,Also the truck barely runs now and smells of gas pretty bad..Any ideas would be apprecieated..Let me know if you need more info.. thanks Joe
