trying to remove axle

I've been trying to remove the passanger side axle, but it doesn't want to move. Removed the axle from the hub and have been pulling at it, tapping it and eveything I can think of and nothing. Please help!

ps it is a 95 2.5L

I finally got it off. Apparently my hammer wasn't big enough.
