I know there were others that posted about the 2003 taurus not starting. Mine is doing it to, but differently. I have 36000 miles on mine. Has been a WONDERFUL car. However, yesterday after work (my car is parked in a parking garage) I turned the key over and it made the starting noise, but it wouldn't fire up. Then I waited about a minute and it started up perfectly. I went to the store, left and it started perfectly. This morning as it sit in our garage all evening and night, it did it again and this time I had to give it gas to start it. I don't know if it's being cold natured or not. I have a full extended warrenty, so I am not concerned about the cost, I am just not sure what it might be. Any advice would be great.

Hard to say without doing some troubleshooting. Could be the fuel system ( fuel pump, pressure regulator, etc) ignition ( coil pack, wires). I had a similar problem with my 2001 taurus taking a long time to start in the cold. My PCM ( powertrain control module), better known as " The Computer" had to be reflashed. That fixed my problem.
