I have 99 GT. Can a Mach 1000 be wired up to install in that? Someone said that Ford changed the Mach 460 wiring in 2001. So I am wondering if there will be a problem putting in a 1000?

The 99/00 have different wiring than the 01/02's and the 03/04's have different wiring than the 01/02's.
Also the 01+ uses double sized radio's with a 6 disc player built in. You have the single player.
You can connect the back half of the 01/02 wireing to your 99/00. The 03/04 requires a bit more modding. ALso the waterfall for the dash is different and the bracket behind the stock radio is also different.
personally, I have the Mach 1's not by choice, if I had the choice in the begining, I would not have got it. It eats up a crapload of room in the trunk, and adds about 120lbs to the car.
