i can't really see how fast im going in town because my dash light is very dim on the speedometer side.. the tach is fine.. like from 0-35 is really dark.. and it gets lighter as you go up to 85 mph.. is it hard to replace the bulb?

I have the same problem. Until recently, my instruments were illuminated as you stated yours were, though now I have no lights. The whole dash is dark. Makes it impossible to see how fast you are going at night.
I also looking to determine how easy it is to replace the lights and how expensive it is. I checked the fuse and it is not blown... Please help.
Thanks.

You can replace the bulbs on the instrument cluster, but you have to take the entire thing out first and unplug it. It sounds like a real pain in the ass, but it's really not that hard. The bulbs are really tiny, but can be found at any part store cheap. I did it on a '97 Ranger I used to have.
