This is my first time here. Looks like a good place to get help and info.
My problems...we don't have enough time for that...
My Aurora problems...1995 Aurora...
First issue...it's blowing the Ign 1 10A fuse causing the dash, hvac and systems monitor to go blank.
Second issue...intermittant miss, rough idle, SES light on
History...vehicle was wrecked left front ~3 yrs ago and sat for ~1 yr before being repaired. It's been in service for alittle over a year now.
Recent repairs, when vehicle was put into service Oct '03, new plugs and wires, fuel guage sender, fuel filter, EGR valve, battery.
Fault codes retrieved via Snap On scanner
23...Electronic Spark Timing
53...Dist Signal Interuppted
68...cruise control command problem
91...park/neutral switch problem
95...enging stalled
135...loss of HVAC serial data
134...loss of IPC serial data
My troubleshooter only goes to 95(??) and this car has an OBD2 connector, making me think it's early 96(?).
I'm thinking codes 68,134 and 135 are related to the fuse blowing. Codes 23 and 53 are my miss problem and 95 is FYI. 91 has me stymied. Is it possible that the p/n switch has a short that would cause the fuse to blow? Are they even on the same circuit?
The fuse has blown 2 times. The second was about 10 minutes after I replaced it. Drove it in/out of garage 2 times and it blew. I replaced it again and drove 30 minutes, in the rain with light, wipers, heater, etc. on and hasn't blown yet. I worked the shifter and still no blow.
If anyone has any experience with these issues or could direct me to some info on the trouble codes, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.
Steve.
