Anyone know how to put a Cad Northstar engine in an Olds Aurora?

That would be pointless, the engines are basically the same. This is what I've been told by somebody who used to work on Northstars for a living. He calls Aurora engine the baby Northstar, but it's a pretty big baby if you ask me.

With a few mods to the 4.0L (intake, exhaust, 80mm TB) you can get 275bhp (same as the 4.6L N*) I bet thats cheaper then adding a Cadillac version of the Northstar.
However if you wanted to do it, the tranny is the same, so no problem there, but wiring/PCM might fuddle you up.
Good luck either way

Noone has ever put a 4.6 in an Aurora. The fatal flaw is always the wiring. For years people have been saying they are going to do this on all the Aurora message boards and noone ever does.
Usually people come back to reality and realize that 25 more HP isnt really worth the thousands of dollars it would cost to do this swap. With the cost of parts and engineering to " maybe" get this to work your looking at close to $10,000 atleast to make this a reality.
And for 25 more HP. Who in their right mind would do this ? You already have a NS. It just doesnt say it on the car so they could use the " Northstar" name on the Caddy instead. If you ever get the chance to look under the hood of a similar year Caddy you will see the exact same engine that is in your Aurora. If you really want the NORTHSTAR name on the engine you could always put the plastic Caddy engine cover on your Aurora. lol
