Ford 302 in a '87 S-10

I have put a Ford 302 V-8 with speed density system from a 1986 Mustang GT into my 1987 S-10. I'm having a problem with the engine overfueling. Does anyone have any idea as to what may be going on?

Yes I know what's going on, Ford parts belong in Fords, and Chevy parts belong in Chevy's... with the exception of the rear end in high horse power applications.

Actually we need more info, like when does it overheat, did you take all the belts, waterpump, fan, etc out of the ford and put them in your poor S-10?
and did the motor overheat in the mustang?

I'll bet that the truck goes like stink, and did you run the mustang fuel injection with this truck
I'm running a 302 in my hotrod, and I don't know weather to run fuel injection or not, was it hard to install?

I call complete bullshit unless you have pics to prove you have done this.

cant see a 302 go into an s10 and work without alot and i
mean alot of headaches. a good old 350 would of been much
nicer and less tylenol too. send more info. like to read more into this

Check his profile out. He's 18. I do not think he did this alone, if at all. I think it's getting deep and it's time for the BIG rubber boots.

I'm with LT, show us the pics.

I see a lot of bullshit on these forums lately.

Crap horsepower claims , dumb mods that do nothing and a pure lack of knowledge.

Getting annoying.

OMG! You can remove you cat and gain 20 horsepowa!!!

It's possible, and with the exception of fabricating motor mounts, and going through the pain of installing the fuel injection it wouldn't be much harder than a 350.... an 85 carburated motor would have been a better choice.

Ford 302's are kinda a better choice to rod than the chev, just because you can slide them right against the firewall without interfering with the distributer.

Now that Viper motor that someone claimed is in a s-10 a couple of months ago is Bullshit

Did you ever stop to wonder why all these claims are from 18 and under kids? And then they never post again. If it where me, I get a digital camera and that pic would've been posted.

He might as well said he built a Space Shuttle in his garage as a science project, it has the same validity.

If I had an engine like that in a s10, I would be sure to have 100s of photos of my work for bragging rights.

Speaking of Viper engines, I was installing a new fuel filter in the parking lot here where I live and a teenager drove up because he saw my truck with the 18s and came to compliment my truck which was nice of him and I didn't mind that.

Then he started into all the things he was going to do with the 2002 Dodge Neon he was driving and the thing he got all excited about is that he was stating he was going to drop a Viper v10 in it.

I mean seriously, did he think I was going to believe him. I didn't have the heart to call him on the bullshit seeing his gf was in his passenger seat and he wasn't being rude at all. He just didn't know when to cut the bullshit.

Let this be known, be real, be honest, and don't bullshit people guys, it just makes you look bad and most people can smell the lies a mile a way.

None of us said that it couldn't be done, everyone just called him a B.S.er... and since he hasn't sent photo's yet, or even described his cooling problems so we could help him out they're probably right.

In my opinion a Ford 302 is a better choice for a hotrod because you can fit it right against the firewall, where you have to leave a 350 out a little to adjust the timing (unless you get a newer distributerless Chev engine)

The Mustang dash must have been tough to install

Do you have the link to that E-bay feature?

I'm building up 2 20's Essex street rods, and my engine of choice is the 85 302, since it's a full roller engine, and still carburatorated. (and yes BlazerLT I have photo's of both cars, and a photo of my coupe from the day I had it delivered in my gallery)
