to vtec or not to vtec

is that the question? well, not exactly. im thinking about swapping a d16z6 sohc vtec engine into a 1991 civic which has a 1.5l engine. so how would i make the vtec work? is it a matter of changing out the ecu? im totally new to hondas so please help

well it depends on wut model u have. if it's the HF, then u'r lucky and won't have much to change w/ wiring. if it's a DX (like mine) it'll be a little more in depth. u don't HAVE to upgrade to obd1, u can get a PM6 (88-91 EX/Si) ecu, add a VTEC switch, and swap over u'r sensors and harness (if it's the HF). or u could get a P28 (92-95 EX/Si) ecu and swap over the harness to obd1.
