door locks on a '95

i am working through the gremlins in the new-to-me '95 88 that i picked up for a steal this week. the power door locks didnt work, so i started to check a few things out. any of the pictures that i saw shows the power lock relay located under the drivers seat. can anyone confirm or deny this?
i found a blown fuse located in a relay block on the passenger side kick panel. when i replaced it, all the doors locked, and wont unlock. when i try to unlock using the switch on either door, there is no click or anything. i do know that the previous owner had a remote start installed but removed it prior to trading at the dealer. i am thinking that when they removed it, they may have messed up the door lock circuit. was this car available with the gm "lock the doors when in drive and unlock when in park"? if so, this could also be a cause if the car is always showing to be in gear, but you should still be able to unlock the doors with the button with the car in drive. so many things to check.
thanks for any help you may be able to offer

i think i may have found the trouble. the relay (under the seat), next to a puddle, has both of the coils completely encrusted in rust. i have a new one arriving tuesday am and will try it then. hope that is all the trouble is.
thanks
