check the fuel injector. they should have around the same resistance.

Check the injectors any way. They will at times clog just enough to create a bad idle but will not be felt when running cuz your pushing more fuel through them.

clean the idle air control valve. its screwed to the throttle body. my wifes car shook bad at idle but did fine while driving. we tried everything to fix it. someone on this forum told me of the idle air control valve, and i cleaned it out with some carb and choke cleaner and a toothbrush. now it idles smooth as new. do a search for idle control valve, or idle valve or something like that and it should pull up some answers in more detail than i am able to provide.

If what oaramediclane's idea doesnt work perhaps you should also consider checking for a severed spark plug wire or even check the plugs them selves If a wire is severed or the plugs are burned out then you get a miss on a cylinder or two. I know GA's idle like crap when they need a tune up. Im not sure if that 2.4 is coil or plug setup so dont bash me if its a coil setup Im just trying to help.

OMG MARK!! SERIOUSLY!! EVERYONE KNOWS A 2.4 IS A IDI SETUP WITH NO WIRES!!! WTF??? ( BASH ) ( BASH )!!!
LOL just messin with ya mark. Yeh if he's got a 2.4 it doesn't have wires - it could actually be one of your coil packs corey. Pull your IDI cover / package deally off of the top of your engine and look at the coil packs underneath. They're clear plastic, and you should be able to see if one of them is cracked. If the cover is cracked on one of them, and water got in, it might've rusted / corroded a part of the coil pack. Hopefully, just one of them are bad, and then it'd be a case of buying a new pack and popping it in there and Vwala!
