Headlights blink on & off

Last night as I was driving with my driving lights on and my headlights on low beam, my headlights go off then on. I turned off the driving lights and the headlights worked fine. Anybody know why they do this?

Do you have aftermarket driving lights? They may draw to much current for your headlight switch to handle. If they are aftermarket, power them through a relay that is energized by your low beam circuit. If everything is factory, replace the headlight switch.

If it's a '93, check with Ford to see if the headlamp switch was replaced under recall and if not, take it to them to have it done.
