I would to like to replace my aging fuel filter but I hear it requires a special tool to undo the fitting. Is this true? What is this special tool needed and where can I purchase it?

Go to any parts store and they will show you what you need , I can think of the name of the part, all it does is unclips the flter from the line PS dont look up when you unhook it , you will get a bath of gas

It is a real pain in the @$$ to most of the time. A whole lot easier if your explorer was on a lift.
