Hey,is it any easier to pull the motor out by itself or do i need to pull the tranny out with it as well?seems to be a big hassle pulling out the axles when i just replaced 'em less than 6 mos ago.

Look in the 4th gen ('88-'91) forum, there is a thread near the top asking this exact question.

it is easier to do everything at one time.

when i pulled the engine, i pulled it all at once. i have also pulled the tranny by itself another time and that seemed a bigger bitch then pulling the tranny alone. it is easier to do it all at the same time. and if you have a clutch then i would check that too. that is also the time that i added my lightweight flywheel and changed out my rear main seal. much easier to do all of this while it is out.

when the engine is out. thats the best time to check anything on your mind. it gives you so much room to do so.
