keyless programming '03 Silverado

We programmed the first remote by cycling the ignition while holding down the unlock button, no problem, but we can't get the second remote to program at all.

Tried everything we could think of, after the first one was programmed an the truck went through the cycle, we immediately tried to program the second, no way worked for us.

Anyone got a suggestion??
