Sup guys...well the problem is that...just the other day...My wife was driving my car and about a mile from home it just died...no over heating..no check engine...wants to turn but doesnt...seems like fuel or ignition prob.....was low on water when i checked it...I read some stuff on the forum that was similair but the coil seems good(checked with ohm meter)...and spark wires were replaced no too long ago....so if anyone could help me out on this ...i would appreciate it alot...thanx!!!

May be your timing belt broke. Check to see if you have any spark. If you have no spark, then good chance it's your timing belt.

Hey Brian.. :) thanx for the info..ill try the spark thing out.....quest though??Does the engine still crank when timing belt is broken? or just not get spark? thanx

Engine will crank, but your cams don't turn. They turn the distributor shaft. If you don't get spark, remove the distributor cap. If the rotor doesn't move while the engine is cranking - broken timing belt. If the rotor rotates, then you have a totally different problem.

Damn....i just checked the rotor and it turns so...guess its not the timing eh?....do you think it might be a fuel filter prob ?? what happends if the engine is blown...does it do what its doin?oh yeah...i found some oil residue on the top of one of the spark plug wires...maybe that means something....sorry for all the ?s im a noob in progress.

fuel filter unlikely to cause sudden death syndrom, but never hurts to replace. check for fuel flow or measure pressure in fuel line when you have ignition on. my guess it could be the electric fuel pump has gone bad.
