does any one know if Eclipse have a non-interference design (applies to Timing belt)
Basically, if my timing belt snaps it will only damage my engine if its a interference type, therefore i want to know if it's non-interference.

im assuming you have a 2g. if you have a 2G NT its a non tnterference motor. if you have a 2G Turbo you have a interference motor.

a interfernce motor means that if the timing belt breaks the piston and the valves can hit each other. a non interference motor means that the valves and pistons wont hit each other if the belt slips or breaks
