hydrolic or not?

how do i know if my 4.3 l has hydroliic lifters or if i can buy the cheaper cam kit for install? if i have to switch to rocker roller (b4 this i didnt know there was a difference so im kinda new to the fact of hydrolic and rocker roller stuff, ive worked on vehicals but never deep down like this) style how expenceive will this be?

It has hydraulic lifters. All chevy 4.3 s-10's do.

i guess i have one more quick question, besides tearing my diff. cover off can i tell my gears in the back of my truck?? i dont have the book and the door tabs are gone.

I assume you know the VIN# for your truck. You can call your local dealer and get the parts department. With the VIN# they have the ability to look up your specific truck and tell you what it has from the factory.
