open circut relay

i have a 86 toyota pick up with a 22r, in the ignition wiring there is a open circut relay pn #85910-14020, what im woundering if there is any way to bypass that relay because mine is junk and they are a $100, it is only a mud truck don't realy wan't to spend the money if I don't have to
