I have a 1973 Camaro. The car came only with a 307!!!! The previous owner pulled that out and put in its place a 350 and that is about it. I have owned the car for 3 years now and it is nothing like the orange junker I brought home. The car has had a paint job, new brakes all around, intake, 4bbl holley carb, weiand intake manifold, hooker headers, 2.5 inch exhaust, aerochamber mufflers, camel hump heads (which pulled my compression to almost 10:1 compression), new crane cams cam, tci torque converter, rebuilt TH350, posi, 3.73 gears, and the list goes on. I just got the car back today from the rear end shop. I just had an Auburn posi unit, and the 3.73:1 rear end gears installed. THE CAR IS INSANE. I have driven the car before with all the motor and tranny goodies, but at the time I only had 2.73:1 gears. I thought it was fast even when I had the old gears in. I can't take off with the current gears as of yet. I still need to break in the gears. I took off with only about 1/4 throttle and it accelerated better then when I gave it full throttle before. I still have more things I wish for in the future, like a digital ignition box, traction bars, better manifold, roller rockers, and the list, of course, goes on. I hope to compete or beat stock SS and Z28 Camaros, new mustang GTs, STIs, and Evos. Not really a question here just letting everyone know another muscle car and Camaro has been resurrected!

Since then I have replaced the grill, aligned the doors and the hood, cleaned the rims, and replaced the sidemarkers and headlights.

I am going to keep this car till I am old and decrepid. Till then more power is on the way. Sometime this thing is going to get nitrous!!! Cheap horsepower!!!

Well there are other things I could do to get more power, but they cost a lot of money. The only other power adder I can do to my car is to install new heads. With that we are talking about $900+ for some dart iron eagle heads. I have already spent $500 rebuilding the old camel humps that I have restored. I dont want to have to rip those off and waste all of that money. Instead I will cheat and put some nitrous on there and well more then make up for the head change. :evillol:
