Hi, im reading about that Intense PCM, wow, looks like Intense really has DHP by the ballz on this one. I have a question tho... i heard if you go to the dealer to get a CASE Learn you have to make sure they dont re-flash your PCM...Intense's website and other people have said that you have to be discrete about telling the dealer not to reflash./.... why is this... are you not suppose to have a aftermarket PCM>???? and how do you be descrete about it... can i not just say "yo, dont reflash my pcm"???? Someone, please elaborate on this for me....

Generally it's because it could void any warranty on your vehicle. But in most of our cases, our warranties are long expired, so who cares! Anyone with a Tech II can perform the case learn.

However, since you're getting a 97 GTP, you don't need a case learn anyway. You just have to remove the knock sensor from the stock PCM and put it in the new one.

Yeah i juss read on that, that is so tight how it works out that i am getting a 97 GTP and only on those years you can juss switch that knock sensor. :)

Yes you need to do it. The only way to keep the warrenty is to keep stock PCM and install it any time you take it back for work.

Well Cass had an idea of calling some body shops. A lot of GM get hit and have to be fix. They may do them.
I called the shop that works on my car, told them what I needed done. He told me that he couldn't do it, but said he would get back to me. He called snap-on. The next day he bought everything he needed to do it. GM dealers can but won't do it. If you go into their shops, most will reset your PCM to stock. Local shops have to be told not to touch, or most will mess it up. All I can tell you, if you take it in to GM, put the stock one back in.
